ASME ED/CEO Tom Costabile & Ansys Chief Human Resource Officer Julie Murphy Discuss the Great Need for Engineering Scholarships

At the 2021 ASME Scholarship Award Ceremony, ASME CEO Tom Costabile and Ansys Chief Human Resource Officer, Julie Murphy address how Ansys and the ASME Foundation are helping to close the college funding gap, offering engineering scholarships to the most deserving students.

They also introduce Journey Washingtonhigh, one of the scholarship recipients, and a mechanical engineering student at Stanford University. Her engineering dreams began when she was young and this scholarship, she notes, is helping her to continue her education and participate in many research opportunities.

Ansys, the global leader in engineering design simulation software, donated to the ASME Foundation to provide engineering scholarships and to honor the company’s founder John Swanson, a long-time ASME member.

ASME Foundation is grateful to Ansys for its generous scholarship support. Click here for more information on ASME Scholarships.
