A Bold

Vision

ASME’s five-year, $50 million fundraising campaign where every dollar is invested in powerful programs that enable this transformation.

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion across the engineering profession.
  • Equitable access to life-changing, sustainable engineering solutions for everyone.

WHY NOW?

Almost every critical issue that threatens our humanity can be solved through the ingenuity of engineers.

Yet today we are leaving too much potential talent behind:

Engineering is the only STEM discipline not included in core K-12 curriculum

Only 9% of U.S. mechanical engineers are women

Only 11% of U.S. mechanical engineers are BIPOC

There are 3.4 million unfilled technical jobs

ASME’s BREAKTHROUGH APPROACH

ASME’s Campaign ensures that a diverse next generation of highly prepared engineers and technicians is supported at every stage of the professional journey.

By the Numbers

Our programs are data-driven.
