We are the

A Bold

Vision

ASME’s five-year, $50 million fundraising campaign where every dollar is invested in powerful programs that enable this transformation.

  • Double the number of women and minorities in engineering by 2030
  • Mobilize a global ecosystem of engineers to innovate a sustainable world

WHY NOW?

Almost every critical issue that threatens humanity can be solved through the ingenuity of engineers.

Yet today we are leaving too much potential talent behind:

Teachers often lack resources and training to deliver K-12 engineering curriculum

Only 9% of U.S. mechanical engineers are women

Only 11% of U.S. mechanical engineers are BIPOC

There are 3.4 million unfilled technical jobs

ASME’s BREAKTHROUGH APPROACH

ASME’s Campaign EMPOWERS diverse next generation engineers AND TECHNICIANS THROUGH EVERY PHASE OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

By the Numbers

Our programs are data-driven.
