E4C Fellows receive support to better understand the issues and market conditions encountered by engineers who are addressing critical quality-of-life challenges. Fellows expand the knowledge base through technology reports, market models, and user experience analyses, among other projects. All E4C Research Fellows’ work product is shared on ASME’s public digital global development platforms, amplifying its use and impact.
ASME currently offers three fellowship programs to engineers seeking to advance ASME’s mission through involvement in global development, education, and government.

Graduate Teaching Fellows
These Fellows participate in a collaboration between ASME and mechanical engineering departments that encourage outstanding doctoral candidates—particularly women and minorities—to pursue careers as ME educators.
Federal Government Fellows
Federal Fellows provide technical expertise to policymakers in the U.S. Congress, the White House, and federal agencies, advising on legislation and policy relating to energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology, among other topics.
